Overview
We are seeking a hands-on, proactive Systems Consultant to support day-to-day infrastructure operations across systems, networking, and end-user environments. This role is responsible for maintaining the reliability, security, and performance of core IT systems while providing responsive support to end users.
This opportunity is ideal for an early-career IT professional looking to expand beyond helpdesk responsibilities into systems administration and infrastructure support within a structured, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Systems Administration
Administer Windows Active Directory, Azure AD, and Microsoft 365 environments
Maintain and monitor servers and virtual machines for performance and reliability
Execute system patching, updates, and configuration changes
Support backup processes and system recoverability efforts
Monitor system health and escalate complex infrastructure issues as needed
Helpdesk & End-User Support
Manage ticket intake, prioritization, and issue resolution
Provide support for hardware, software, and access-related issues
Handle onboarding/offboarding, account setup, and device provisioning
Maintain communication and ownership throughout issue resolution
Escalate advanced technical issues when necessary
Network Support
Support network connectivity including DHCP, DNS, VLANs, VPNs, and wireless infrastructure
Troubleshoot network issues across multiple locations
Implement approved changes on switches, firewalls, and network devices
Perform routine security checks and updates
Monitor network performance and proactively identify risks/issues
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain documentation for systems, procedures, and configurations
Track IT inventory, assets, and licensing records
Assist with compliance and audit-readiness documentation
Follow established credential handling and access control procedures
Qualifications
2–4 years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure support, or network support
Experience in a hands-on IT support environment
Familiarity with:
Active Directory
Azure AD
Microsoft 365
VLANs, VPNs, DHCP, DNS, switches, and firewalls
Server virtualization and backups
Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and networking
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred
Valid driver’s license required
